About
I have three broad categories of research:
1. Psychosocial Medicine: obesity prevention and
treatment; health behavior change; & psychological
coping with chronic illness
2. Psychotherapy Research: process and outcome;
therapist and patient self-disclosure
3. Narrative Studies: a long-time passion of mine, but a
newer area of scholarship. Under this umbrella term I
include Narrative Medicine, Narrative Therapy, and
Medical/Psychological Humanities. I am especially
interested in trauma narratives and narrative identity in
marginalized populations
